QUALITY POLICY
The quality policy of TM Foundry
TM Foundry’s quality policy is founded on our corporate policy of having a quality management system certified with MSZ EN ISO 9001 / MSZ EN ISO 14001, which we continuously improve. Our goal is to deepen the trust of our partners and establish relationships with new customers.
Our aim is to enhance the competitiveness of our products while striving to increasingly satisfy customer demands by producing high-quality products that meet European standards.
Metallographic Examination
During metallographic examination, we analyze the microstructure of cast iron using a microscope. We examine the shape, size, and distribution of graphite in the castings through polished sections.
Mechanical Testing – Hardness Testing
To determine the hardness of the castings, we use Brinell and Rockwell hardness testing machines.
At TM Öntöde Foundry, our manufacturing processes undergo continuous monitoring and inspections. The chemical composition of incoming raw materials (pig iron, steel) is regularly examined using a spectrometer.
Chemical Composition Analysis
We use a color image analyzer and a spectrometer (Spectro Max) to analyze cast iron. Optical emission spectrometers are used to determine the chemical composition of metals as a percentage. Chemical composition analysis is performed on every batch of raw material before casting and treatment, ensuring the appropriate material quality of the manufactured product.
Mechanical Testing – Tensile Testing
During tensile testing, the tensile strength, elongation, and yield strength are determined by pulling apart a machined test specimen until it fractures.
Inspection of Machined Castings
Machined castings are inspected using a FARO coordinate measuring machine with a measuring arm.
